Quantifying Reputation and Success in Art, Science Magazine, 2018 (read here)
This paper shows that success as an artist relies heavily on the network an artist is in. Since there is no way of establishing that any work of art is truly better than another, the network takes over, establishing value. The paper was co-authored by data scientists from Harvard University and published in the world’s leading scientific journal, Science.
